About – Focal Point Engineering

Background

Focal Point Engineering was founded by Jaakko Länsiluoto, a structural engineer with extensive experience in demanding design and project management roles. Over more than 20 years, he has contributed to a wide range of public and private construction projects in Finland and abroad, both as designer and as team leader.

The company’s mission is to support clients from the earliest stages of project development — providing insight into structural options, material efficiency, and sustainability — ensuring that design and implementation proceed smoothly, transparently, and responsibly.

New sports centre with swimming hall and multi-purpose sports facilities, concept and permit design phase (for a public client)
Data centre project, structural engineering localisation and supervision (for an international technology client)
Several multi-storey residential buildings with timber or hybrid structures, including CLT element and modular systems
